This will fit ANY Mazda rotary engine. Any year 12A or 13B or three
rotor.
Some early front covers may not adapt to the late E-shaft angle sensors. 
It is mounted on the flywheel and all engines have flywheels.

I don't know the going price for the stock units but judging 
what Mazda is chargeing for the ignition modules ($300 each 
and you need two) this trigger is dirt cheap as it can be made for 
under $15 if you use scrap carbon fiber for the interrupter ring.
(You could use aluminum or steel.)

What is the going price for a junk yard E-shaft angle sensor?

The other thing it has going for it is; more accurate ignition timing
and design flexibilty when it comes to Tracy's computer program.
For example: the possibilty of more than 12 holes for the RPM sensor
or more advance than 30 degrees BTDC.

It might be ahead of its time however :-)
