The controller & sensors are $800, a bit too expensive for just casual
experimentation (there are two complete EFI and ignition controllers in the
case). It is completely assembled and tested before shipment BTW) If all
you want to do is see what the engine is all about, just use the stock
distributor & carb on a test stand.

If the modules are bad on the distributor Tracy it is not cheap. Try
$600
from the Mazda dealer. You might find a couple in the junkyard for $400.
However I don't know what the cheapest electronic ignition sytems is
going
for these days. I see Mallory has some for about $100 to $150
can't tell what kind of trigger they need. Probably a distributor
with mechanical advance like the 12A engines have. Perhaps they will
work
with the Mazda magnetic pickups in the Mazda distributor. They never
seem to go bad.
