Alright guys..... when you use this system on the 12a, should I set it up as
a 6 cylinder??? Does anyone use the rev limiter with this MSD system???
Do you buy two systems, or do you just put it on one, the leading or
trailing system??? Do you REALLY notice a difference in the power, or
completeness of the burn??? What is your timing setting for the MSD if it
burns for 20 degrees of shaft rotation??? Do you necessarily use the "cheap
blaster", the street/ track "6", or should you use the marine grade due to
the continuous high rpm loading??? I would expect you to use the "off road"
coils due to vibration aspects...
OK guys... inquiring minds want to know!!!

Good questions. Anybody using MSD ignitions?
With a prop you won't need a rev limiter.
Both plugs on each rotor fire once per output shaft rev.
When they fire is different for each plug.
There is a small increase in power when both plugs fire.
When both plugs fire the fuel burns more completely.
Jim M at R Beat uses one MSD per plug and fires them with
a computer. Six MSD systems for a three rotor all told.
Best to get the R Beat catalog as he has a chart in there for
ignition timing. While your talking to R Beat ask their opinion
of the best one to use and report what they say to us.
