What about some of the High tech coatings? We made up a set of
Exhaust Manifolds for a Lycoming, out of Mild steel, and had them
coated with a High Temp Powder Coating. I don't remember the specs,
but I could probably get them if it wasn't a waste of time.

I also wondered about some of the new coatings, how about some type of
ceramic coatings, that should take plenty of hi temp. Seems like I saw
an add in KitPlanes about some company doing the ceramic coating. I know
it is used in many industrial applications. Anybody have any more info
on this?
