I've been lurking on the site for a few weeks now, and I can't believe the
expertise and knowledge that is thrown around! After searching vainly around
for any info on rotary's for aircraft, I see I hit the jackpot here!
Just a quick note on oil metering, I had a Yamaha snowmobile in my teenage
days, that ran flawlessly in long harsh Yukon winters. It used a great oil
injection system that allowed me to drive right up to the gas stations and
'fill er up'. The oil container held a couple of quarts and needed filling
only every third or fourth five gallon tank of fuel. If all you want is a
system to automagically mix the 2 stroke oil into the gas, I think it was a
fairly simple system. Never had it apart, but I think it ran from a parallel
cable off the throttle - more gas, more oil. I could probably dig up and old
manual if I tried hard enough, anyone familiar with this system, (or has it
already been discussed and discarded?).
Keep up the great sharing of knowledge - I may get that 200hp rotary for my,
as yet, imaginary Cozy!
Lindsey.
