 I just finished my first-ever tear down and rebuild of a 13B.  Paul's
suggestions about Bruce's overhaul video and a good manual are on the
mark.  I found the Haynes 1988-91 RX-7 Overhaul manual to be a good one
and Bruce's video shows you what the manual says, so makes it much
easier.  I will shortly be posting my experience to the list.  I was
hesitant to tear into one for probably the same reason you are, but in
hindsight it was really not hard.  Just need to be certain you keep
track of what pieces go where and replace any parts to be reused in
exactly the spot they came from on the rotor they came from.

 I must admit it was with a little apprehension that I fired up the
engine, but no smoke, no leads and runs find.
