I finally called Spectro Oil co. HQ (numbers below), got closest
distributor, and talked to Tech Svc about formulation of various Spectro
and Golden Spectro products listed on their web site.
They have 4 cycle oil, formulated for motorcycles, not for cars, and
they have 2 cycle oil, formulated for motorcycles.
The dealer fax'd me his price list. I normalized liters to quarts and
got HIS cost per quart - I show that and note that markup has to be
added, whatever you can negotiate with him (hopefully better than $2
markup per quart)
I then went back to my Feb posting of Wal-mart prices. Given the good
quality of TCW3 oils, I'm not sure one would keep our 13B apex seals and
groves significantly cleaner than the other. We just need more
experience, which will be years coming. Here's the info:

- Called back to Ken to ask about formulation on 2 cycle: Heavy
base
stock (60 wt), zinc tricreysel phosphate (tcp) for rod brg
protection/cushioning in event of detonation, metalic detergent pkg
(doesn't know name of it or ingredients) which detergent pkg must be
what
keeps engines so clean - that is the only reason for considering use of
this expensive oil - clean apex seals/groves.(10:55)>
