I did some really stupid things when I first got my license.
Its a wonder I am still alive.

There is a remote possibility that JFK Jr's vacumme system failed
but as I recall it was a brand new airplane. Even then you
should train yourself to recognise that occurance and deal with it.

He would have been better off flying along the lighted coast
and turning right when he got opposite Martha's Vineyard.

It is kind of strange the crash is not in the NTSB prelim reports yet.
