This is a modified detail of my design for a Ford C6
based PSRU to fix the sun gear from banging back 
and fourth at idle.

I added another 25 MM bearing and a nut to postively
locate the sun gear relative to the planet gear.
This is a tractor configuration and the two large
ball bearings take all prop thrust loads.

A slight reconfiguration would be required for a pusher
unless you wanted to rely on the plane thrust bearing
used by Ford. Not a good idea.

The arrow inside the shaft points to a hole that relieves
any pressure build up behind the seal. The input shaft
is way over designed in this area so the hole will not
hurt.
