Okay, Ive read through this info and am now curious as to what kind of
power could be expected from one of these engines in a normally aspirated
config. I note that the article mentions much larger intake ports with
different port timing from the earlier engines. So does this mean more,
less, about the same, or what with regards to HP for N.A. in the RPM band
that we would typically operate in? What do you say Paul Y?

I would guess you would play hell getting more than about 180 HP
out of this side port, normally aspirated engine at 6200 RPM or
below unless you went to peripheral ports.
BTW Power Sport at OSH was showing 210 HP at about 5850 RPM with Everett
Hatch's peripheral port configuration plus EFI and a little radiused lip
added
to the end of the 24 inch long intake pipes.
The picture shows the new Power Sport engine on their test stand/dyno
at OSH. The peripheral ports and long intake pipes can be clearly
seen.
