If you were at AirVenture'99 when the Proteus landed, you might have heard the
announcer mention that although the field was VFR, the aircrew was flying in
*EXTREME* IMC during descent when the *COCKPIT* fogged up as the cold cockpit air
mixed with the incoming warmer moist air.  Yet another thing to worry about ...

I am going to install a large horzontal  radiator in the cockpit ahead
of the instrument panel with an electric fan blowing air on the
inside of the windshield. In the remote possibility it is not hot
enough to melt ice I will turn off the main cooling radiators 
with a valve. Do you think that will work?
