Paul, awhile ago, I was concerned about cavitation when I was running 100%
propylene glycol (now using Sierra (PG) 35%) , so I talked to the guys at Evans
and the Griffin. Evans said that from their racing experiences that the stock
Mazda water pump is good for 7,000 rpm because it was designed as a high rpm
motor. Griffin said the same thing. Nascar guys end up slowing down pump spd on
piston engines to avoid cavitation.

Since we mostly run our engines at 6000 RPM max and a higher average
HP than a street engine perhaps we should think about speeding
up the pump slightly by changing the pulley ratio to increase
the water flow.
