Interesting!  After sitting and thinking about it, I don't see a 'reason'
why not.  Use JB to weld the aluminum bosses to the pvc and connecting to
the aluminum flange.  I guess the only thing I would think of is to paint
it so that the casual onlooker won't think we're crazy.  Hmm.... it's a
thought, and sure would be light.  Only thing I can pick on is the
fatigue resistance of the JB.
