Hey everybody,

I worked with polyurethane foam (Rigid and flexible), and elastomers for
several years. If you try to heat it, it will not melt, it will just
crystallize.  Methylene chloride is the best solvent I found for
cleaning parts of the foam machine, but even that required overnight
soaking, and all it did was soften it up enough to allow me to clean it
with the bead blaster or a wire brush.  If you want something you can
easily destroy, polyurethane is about the worst choice.  I may still
have some 10 lb. flexible laying around.  If I do I will let you know,
and whoever wants it can have it.  It costs about 3 to 4 dollars a pound
in small quantities, so if I don't have any, exeperimenting could be
expensive.  If anyone needs it, and I don't have any, I can get you a
phone number for a few suppliers.  Silicone oil works well for a mold
release.
