Do you really think you'll need 5 amps to power the thing?  I suspect a Palm V & GPS would be draw
less than 1/20th of that.

Just shock mount the hard drive and the CD reader. The software
available probably
requires gigabytes. You may need 5 amps and then some depending on what
processor
and how much memory. No way would a Palm Pilot be up to it. You need
color too.

BTW PowerSport is selling an integrated PC based EFIS/Moving map system
with 
their version of the Mazda rotary engine. They are also bundling Free
Flight
software. $18K for the works engine and all.
