I did not add a thrust bearing. Only the clutch disk
controls the input shaft at the flywheel end.  

How do you propose adding a thrust bearing at the flywheel end?
Do you mean next to the sun gear near in front of the oil seal?

If so its more parts as I need a pilot bearing for the input shaft
in the output shaft anyway. Might as well make it do double duty and
take
the gear thrust. One ball bearing would not be enough and that is
why I used two in this location.

I could use this spot for just a radial locating ball bearing
but then I would have to add a needle thrust bearing on both sides
of the sun gear. That would work of course but it is a lot 
more parts. It would also put that aft plate, now holding
only the oil seal, into bending mode. 

I think I have the weight down to about as low as it can get.
