Thanks for all the photos Ed. If you don't mind I am going to limit
them to the two I think most illustrates what is working best for
you now merely to keep the bandwidth down some what.

Ed orginally started with a large area oil cooler fed with
a corrugated flex hose from a NACA duct on a steep part of the
front cowl. The oil rad was mounted vertically aft in the engine
compartment near the firewall. You can see that oil cooler in
the last picture I uploaded of Ed's mufflers.
The transition duct that converted
the round corrugated hose to the large area retangular oil cooler
was unsymetrical and therefor less than ideal. The NACA duct did
not work on such a steep angle so it was changed to a snorkel
type much like the stock RV6 carb air intake. This made an
improvement in the oil temp. In the last configuration you see
here Ed changed to a chin intake and a stock Mazda RX7 oil cooler.
