In my  humble opinion the wankel rotary is the only engine
that has a chance and it is going to take a long time to resolve
the cooling and installation and failure mode problems.
Probably at least another five years.

You know Vince I get the sneaking feeling they are holding
back a bit until we (those of us building and flying rotaries) 
get the market ready. :-) I think if I were in their shoes
I would do the same.

Pilots are a conservative bunch. It is going to take
a lot of convincing.
