housings seem to be fine. They did have to go back on the lapping table for a
brief cleanup since the nitriding process left a scale like deposit on the
housings. The 10 hour process is supposed to yield a .007" deep penetration.
In short, the're flat and look new again. I'll post more details tomorrow.
BTW these were seasoned housings. I'm not sure how stable "green" iron would
be in this process.
