Mark Steitle idea about using the oil injection ports for emergency fuel
nozzles
is a great one IMHO. I'm mixing 2 cycle oil in the fuel anyway. I have
been
concerned that both the fuel injectors & pump, and ignition, are totally
dependant on the electrical system. I had considered adapting a constant
fuel
flow system tied to the throttle using a shutoff valve to actuate it. I
wonder
if there is adequate vacuum thru the oil ports that it could work like a
crude
carb based upon throttle opening to make a reasonably acceptable
air/fuel ratio
by just using jets.

If so it would eliminate the injectors and pumps, assuming
that you can isolate the ignition side of the engine controller. It
could be
just a fuel line from the tank with a manual shutoff valve feeding the
oil ports
(w/jets). Now we need to know if the vacuum thru the oil port is the
same as the
intake manifold, and if it is adequate to induce fuel flow. I'll do some
testing, unless somebody already has tried this.

Now if we could just come up with a redundant method to fire the plugs!
