The subject of the number of wires feeding power into your system

Can it set the advance separately for leading and trailing plug?

There are two wires feeding +12 to the controller. They do go to a common
point inside the controller however.
The latest version of the software does implement a "manifold pressure
advance". It can be set to go into effect at any altitude. I set mine for
8000 feet.
My test results do not show any advantage to retarding the trailing spark
(of course I did not test for EPA emissions) so it is set for less than 1
degree after leading spark. I get about a 40 degree reduction in EGT with
this setting. If anyone absolutely wants the stock 15 degree retard to the
trailing spark, I will be happy to give it to them. There is a BIG power
loss with the retarded trail plug timing in the event that the leading spark
goes away and very little with the same as leading timing. This alone was
worth it to me.
BTW, on the subject of BSFC, I got about .47 but only at economy cruise
conditions, not max power. I used Vans Aircraft horsepower required chart
for the RV-4 to make this calculation.

Thanks for the info Tracy.
Tracy, could you scan that chart and send it to me. Lacking that would
you copy it and mail it to me? It would be very helpful when figuring
out the HP people are getting with the various configs.
