One thing to keep track of with these alternators.  They us a tiny
pair of sliprings due to their cantilevered design, which means that
the slip rings have to fit thru the bearing OD hole in the housing.
This means that you should check out the brushes every 5 yrs or
so, since their wear is possibly a bit higher than designs with inboard
(larger) slip rings. Not a big problem and I run two in Honda cars.
