Somebody was looking for the an "adjustable vacuum/boost fuel pressure
controller." I think there is/was one made by a company called Malpassi
and
may be others. There also is Kenne-Bell boost a pump that increase fuel
pressure, but I'm not sure that it senses boost.

Hey Bear. The Kenne-Bell Boost-A-Pump is one of those doohickeys that
borrows a dedicated +12V lead off the battery and is used to variably
adjust
current (voltage) hitting the fuel pump, bypassing any factory-installed
or
otherwise wiring harness for power. The idea is to ensure (is it really
possible?) no loss of pump output based off of a potential drop in
charging system
voltage due to having a load of things running...

The Malpassi FPR is the same unit I use on my Rx7. It is vacuum and
pressure referenced; linear, 1:1 ratio.

As I understand it, the way most of these things work is that they clamp
the fuel return line in response to the increasing boost. It's a trick
with limitations, obviously, but good for some increase.

Yep; Same understanding here.

I have no first hand experience with these and
have no specific vendors to
direct you to but have heard about them on the TEAMFC3S listserve.

Corky Bell mentions one in his book Maximum Boost.
According to Corky it was invented in the 70's by Ron Nash.
Also get a copy of Turbo & Hi-Tech Performance mag.
A lot of that kind of stuff is advertised there. PL

That's the coined 'BDFPR'. It's an adjustable regulator that rests in
the
fuel return line stream *after* any other base pressure regulator. It
responds to manifold pressure and is adjustable for increasing rail
pressure many times over PER pound of manifold pressure increase.
I don't like 'em.
