This porting looks very strange. Perhaps it is Miller cycle
like Vance mentioned. On the other hand Miller cycle requires
a super charger as I recall. The intake manifold might
be usable in an aircraft.

Yes, you do need some forced pressurization to do Miller. I'm not
sure you need a scroll compressor like the Millenium uses.
