Bob,
Just spoke to the west coast distributor for the Bolder Rebel batteries.
http://www.houseofbatteries.com
Bolder is redesigning the case on these so they will not be available for
six months. The retail cost for both the 1 amp and 2 amp is $110. You can
still see the specs for these batteries at
http://www.boldertmf.com/core.html . This is an older web site. The new
website http://www.boldertmf.com only shows the SmartStart.
I am thinking about using B&C's L60 coupled with their SD8 for my second
alternator. The standard 25 amp battery wieghs about 23 lbs. The B&C SD8
weighs 3 lbs and the Bolder 12 volt 2 amp batery weighs 3 lbs for a weight
savings of 19 lbs and electrical system redundancy. Sounds good to me.
Ed are you sure about that 23 pounds. The one I have is about 15 pounds
as I recall. PL
The literature for the Rebel says the 2 amp battery will last 2 hours with a
1 amp draw. If both alternators die, your essential buss load will
determine how long your "battery only" operation will be.

Given recent posts on the Bolder Battery, I thought I would pass this post
from the RV list FWIW. Also have attached specs for Odyssey batteries, I
swapped out a Concord 25AH weighing 22 lbs for the Odyssey 680 at 14 lbs a
savings of 8 lbs and less money. Still going strong after 1 year.

Ed the file you attached did not come across. You want to give it
another
try? A trick I use is open those HTML files and copy and paste them
as stright ASCII text. hepi.html
