I would be interested in a 3D solid modeling CAD program. I had Design
CAD, but just found it too unwieldy to do 3D or even 2D so still use an old
package called Generic CAD. Brought out by AutoCAD and discontinued as it
came too close in capability for a pittance of the AutoCAD price.

Check out SolidWorks99. (www.solidworks.com) It's expensive though..

I found trying to model a 3-D solid very frustrating in AutoCAD. It was
really un-intuitive.. I felt like everytime I wanted to make a 3D object,
AutoCAD wanted to turn it into a 2D object.. As a result, I would
sometimes end up with objects perpendicular to the paper.. They didn't
show up the way I wanted on paper.. :-)

Last time I checked it was $20,000. Real nice and I would love to
be able to afford it.
