Aeroquip used to apply this treatment to the 701 product. They called it
401. The teflon hose had the designation 433, or 466. 433 was good to 1500
psi, and 466 was good to 3000.
The trick with this stuff was to get the silicon off the brade where you
were going to put the fittings. Then after you have preasure tested the
hose, we had to place a silocon sleeve over the fitting, and pump silicon in
between the sleeve and fitting. A teadious job, but when done right it
looked good. These hoses came back in better shape than the other types.
