BTW The way the formula for induced drag factor is
CL^2/pi*A

The lift coef CL is probably less than 0.1 while
stright and level at high speed. If you pull 3 G's
the CL must go to about 0.3. Therefore 0.3 squared is
0.09 while 0.1 squared is 0.01 or nine times less
less drag!! 
 
Just a quick and dirty calculation to illustrate
my point.
