Took a day off from airplanes and rotary engines and went to 
Comdex in Lost Wages for the first time in ten years. 

The Linux people had a separate
hall of their own. Corel had a big booth and were demonstrating how easy
it is to install their version of Linux. Four questions and that's it.
There is a hardware wizard that scans all the hardware.

All Corel software will be ported by next summer.
Borland had a booth and they said all of their products would
be ported too.

The trickest thing I saw was high speed animated games running under

Loki have a program that ports high speed animated games 
currently running under Windows to run under Linux.
No difference in performance.

I got a great poster of this huge Godzilla sized Penquin
stepping on and about to crush  the Microsoft campus in Redmond
Washington saying "Good Evening Mr. Gates, I'll be your server today."

Meanwhile RedHat stock hit $140! Ten times on your money in 
two months if you were lucky enough to buy it at
$14. Unfortunately I was not. My stock broker said not to buy it
at $47 so I bought it at $98. Stock brokers know nothing.

It is like the early Apple II days all over again.
