Yes they get welded to rigid aluminum tube. Yes they eliminate
rubber hose. Yes a hose clamp holds the split clamps together.
Tolerances are loose. It is kind of weird these days as when
you machine something with an NC tool it is usually right on the
money. Tolerance almost becomes irrelevant except for tool wear
when doing thousands. The O-ring groove dimensions are per the
o-ring manufactures specifications.
The material is 6061 T6 or 6063 T6 weldable aluminum alloys.
