I just got around to reading this thread, and I must take issue
with your answer to the question about using the turbo for cooling

Howard,
We asked the same question about 2 months ago. (Paul's probably waiting
for me to input). I think we determined that current high flow turbos
suck only one tenth the amount of air you need for cooling. Also, you'd
be giving up the most power during the takeoff and climb regime.
Personally, I think that the best way to cool for the extreme moments
you need cooling (low airspeed high power) is to use a spray bar.
Perhaps you could use those little misters they use on Vegas' strip to
keep people cool in the summer. Flush mount them in the inlets and mist
a bit of water throught them on the ramp or Death Valley climbouts. 2
gallons of distilled water goes a long way for cooling. At cruise I
don't think it will be a problem for anybody who's taken the time to
fabricate the correct ducting. EngineAir seems to be cooling their 420
horses just fine.
