Not too many. But you will agree that there were a large number of aircooled autos
in the past, right?  And there are still a reasonable number of aircooled
motorcycles., right?  I said "seen," which includes in the past.

My point was, there are reasons that some of these ideas aren't (or haven't been) in
mass produced vehicles.

Now that I have to see. An alternator that will live at 50,000 RPM :-)

A properly balanced, air bearing generator, with the permanent magnet(s) on the
stator, should be up to the task.  But like I said, it fails the sanity test.

I think there is far too much energy in the exhaust to waste it
generating
the modest electrical requirements of an airplane. Supercharging is a
good
use as it turbo compounding.
