way.   Correct about the distribution of the load

as well.  This unballance

of load is minimized in my drive by using the

splined drive (which has a few

thousandts of play) on the ring gear which allows

it to float to the best

possible load match.

The Ross design lets the planet carrier float
in milled slots and Ford made the planet carrier out
of low modulas
elasticity aluminum allowing it to deflect somewhat
to equalize the
load in all four pinions. This is not true for the
Chrysler and
GM designs.
