Does anyone know if clutch disk splines are standardized like SAE screw
threads?  I would sure help trying to match shafts and clutch disks.

It depends on how loose. Put the ring gear over the planet carrier and
measure the side movement with a dial indicator. Mine moves about
0.030 to 0.040 for an eyeball guess. Next time I take it to the hangar
I will measure it. Planetaries are designed to deflect slightly to equalize the 
loads on all the gears so a little looseness is not a bad thing.
Since the total length of the tooth is not always engaged on the
sun gear check for a wear step along the tooth length.
I can feel no step in mine with my finger nail. 

Yes there is an SAE standard. The Chevy V8 is a ten spline SAE 1-1/8.
Since the ID of the sun gear is about  1.45 you will need a sleeve or an SAE
1-1/2 or 1-5/8 ten or sixteen spline shaft. A big truck engine probably. Probably
easier
and cheaper to use a sleeve pressed and welded on to a 1-1/8 Chev
manual TX input shaft.
