BTW what else is needed to regulate the vacuum - regulator, accumulator tank?
Please
let us know.

I just used a reconditioned regulator from a Cessna and adjusted it so that it
had the correct range at normal rpms (3-5K). Didn't need an accumulator, but I'm
a pusher, so it was a long 1/2" line to the reg.

Russell Kent mentioned that the loss of the vacuum pump would also take out the
alternator. In my set up, I use the old double v-belts, not the serpentine. The
front belt drives water and vacuum, and the second belt drives water and
alternator. If you are unlucky enough to take out both belts, you're bigger
problem IMHO is the water pump, because you're going to have to put it on the
ground pretty soon. I think this is highly unlikely, but possible.
