Fellow Rotary Enthusiasts,

A subscriber to another newsletter writes:
The 0290 uses 1 qt. of oil every 5.5 hrs and 5.5 gal of auto fuel per
hr.....Bottom line is I've been very happy with the 0290.

So 32 ounces of oil per 27.5 gal of fuel leaves one very happy. Makes me
feel better about 1 ounce 2-cycle:1 gal fuel that the 13b needs.

Now my question: How much lubricating oil is lost per hour in a typical
13b getting 2-cycle added separately? Thanks.

Bob

I would expect it depends on the condition of the oil seals on the sides
of the
rotors. As I recall I think Tracy said almost none between oil changes.

With the oil injection disabled, I have never been able to detect any oil
usage between oil changes. I change oil every 70 hours in the RV-4. The
oil injection is also disabled on my RX7 car and the same is true there.
Car has 114,000 miles on original engine.
