 I think a carbon fiber prop would help.
Everybody that have gone with Klaus'e props (LSE) have great things to say
about them. Some are engineers and have calculated about a 5% efficiency
improvement over a wood prop.

  I met a guy at Bakersfield last year with an RV4 that had one of Klaus'
props on it. Nice looking  prop and the guy loved it. He reported only one
problem. Apparently if the prop isnt quite right ( I think he said he
initially didnt see enough static rpm) you cant simply send it back and
have it tweaked like you can a wood prop. As he explained it he sent the
prop back to Klaus who sent him a new prop with slightly less pitch. The
prop he sent back goes on Klaus' shelf to be resold to the next guy who may
have enough HP to handle the pitch. Do you know if this is in fact the way
Klaus does business? If so it could be a real problem since there is
probably very little demand for props that turn "backward".

I am not sure but it is possible. That is one reason we are working so
hard on the variable pitch prop. Changing fixed pitch props is common and
getting the right one the first time is no easy matter.
