Will that drive the price of the display unit up into the same price
bracket as the other engine monitors on the market? If so count me out as
I'm already locked in to the AV8 engine monitor. My panel is already laid
out and built and I dont want to do it again. At the time that I bought the
AV8 I could have opted for a MAP sensor and fuel flow but decided to get
that from you instead when it became available. I like your proposed method
of calculating fuel flow as opposed to adding multiple flow transducers.
I have the same airframe and thus the same space considerations that you
have. The functions that I assumed your display would provide (MAP, fuel
flow, O2, and the mileage calculator) are all secondary functions so I
didnt think they needed to be on the panel as part of the regular
instrument scan. I intend to put my display on center console in front of
the control stick. But if the features (and thus price) for your display
are going up into engine monitor territory I'll upgrade the monitor I
already have.
