There is an angular offset to the right in the stock mount but I did not

put

any offset in my engine mount.  The offset is mainly to compensate for
P-factor during takeoff.   About the only real world effect is to the

amount

of rudder needed to keep plane lined up during initial takeoff roll.

    My plans for the RV-6A has the Center line of the engine/Thrust offset
to the right. Check out whether the reference you are looking out is
referenced to the rear of the engine rather than the front.  I did put 5/8"
(measured at prop face plate) off set to the left in my mount, but not
certain it was necessary.  Perhaps a little less left rudder on climb out.
