It is becoming necessary for me to do more strategic business planning if I
am going to retain my sanity. In the long term it looks like I need two
versions of the display, one that just does the basics (fuel flow, fuel
total, MAP, rpm, inlet air temp) and a second "page" for the programming
parameters since these only need to be displayed on rare occasions. The
other version would add all the other engine monitor functions (temps,
pressures, etc.).

OK since Tracy is planing on two units I will go with a 20 X 4 display
which will save cost and panel space. A 40 X 4 character display would have to
be at least 7 inches wide.

The panel cutout will be roughly 2.35 inches high by about 5 inches wide
unless everybody wants standard radio width of around 6.25 inches as I recall.
Lets hear your votes on this.

The display window will be about 1 by 3 inches.

The two page grouping will look something like this:

RPM XXX0 MPG XX.X
GPH XX.X XX.X gal tot
Intake Temp XXX deg
MAP XX.X inches hg
