I've been running an MT now for about 18 months. I am TOTALLY
satisfied with the
propeller, the performance, and MT's support.  (Hope this
doesn't sound like an
advertisement for MT) I've run Prince P tip (best fixed prop
I've run), Great American
(good rugged prop), Tift, Catto, Stuben, IVO, and the MT.

OBSERVATIONS -


1) I am running the electric version, I like this because I can
select constant speed or
variable pitch. I also don't have to mess with governors, prop
control cables, etc. When
I'm cruising for any length of time, I'll select the variable
pitch mode. Now I can hear
any changes in RPM that happen, (like a fixed prop).

2) Prop is heavy - 45 lbs ( I had a very forward cg aircraft, I
now have an aft cg
aircraft, no ballast.

3) Take off performance is everything that I've wished for,
2700rpm, takeoff roll less
than 800 ft, climb at 95kts at 2000fpm. Deck angle is
approximately 35 degrees, I look
UNDER the canard for traffic clearance. (approx 1200lbs takeoff
wt)..  Landing performance
is equally impressive, When the blades are flat, its like a
parachute hanging out the back.

4) Cruise, I have basically a plans built long with an o-320,
no speed mods. I
consistently come in last at the RACE events. . At sea level, I
cruise full throttle (27 inches manifold) at 2300rpm at 180kts.

5) I seem to have lost 2 or 3 knots (but remember I now cruise
at 2300 rpm) on the high end.

6) This prop is most efficient at about 2300 rpm. I can spin it
faster, but at speeds any
faster than about 120 knots, I'm just beating the air.  This
prop was specifically cut for
best performance at 160kts at 2300rpm (They  hit it darn near
right on the money).

7) COST -  sit down and take a deep breath - 10k - That's
delivered, all the options,
fully assembled, spinner, dual controller, slip ring, brushes,
etc, bolt on and go fly
price. (you need to install slip ring, electric controller, and
do the wiring. The whole process took less than a day.
