BTW folks the best place for the injectors seems to be out near the beginning of
the intake tubes and not near the engine end surprisingly. Two people have recently
verified this on separate, engines, dyno and dyno runs. Apparently the fuel
seems to vaporize and mix with the air better. Both Jim Mederer at Racing Beat
and Paul Ross at Alturdyne have discovered this.

Paul, I was thinking on the same subject last night:
Did anyone try placing the injectors where the oil injectors are located? Direct injection in the chamber.

Yes Jim Mederer at Racing Beat tried that extensively.
Believe it or not that is really a bad place. The raw fuel does not get
a chance to mix with the air thoroughly which is very important with the large
flat combustion chamber that is characteristic of the wankel engine.
That raw fuel can hide out in the nooks and crannies and get swept
out the exhaust unburned. The exhaust temp also goes down when all the
fuel is well mixed with the air.
