I listened to the talk by the guy selling the umteen thousand $ pressure sensing
system and was totally sold on the concept based on factors mentioned by the other
respondees here but figured I'd never afford one. The RiteAngle system looks quite
elegant for the money. It takes input from 4 flap positions, and throttle, will
operate on battery backup automatically, provides visual leds as well as voice
output. The sender requires a vane that can be mounted below the wing from a
reinforced inspection plate.
The price may be a show special. They are not ready to ship but will hold that
price if you give your name and address.
