So your plans are for a 'weld it yourself' set of aluminum parts? Should
work.
I will try dump some computer images on Monday and send them. Time to get
back to the plane. I am working on the actuator for the nose gear right
now.
I don't want to do the mounting plate because I don't think it is the most
efficient way of doing a motor mount. Most of the load on a motor mount is
concentrated under the CG of the engine/PSRU/prop combination so most
of the plate is going along for the free ride. Tracy's motor plate mount is
quite heavy. Not all to do with the plate however. Lots to do with
attempting to use the stock Lycoming mounts. See my drawings on the
web site for a suggested steel hat section motor mount.
