In my experience, the higher end junkyards want to keep the engine whole, but not the
pick & pull places.  As I recall intake manifolds were $7.50 at the ones I used to
frequent in DFW.  My best haul ever was from the Grand Prairie Pick & Pull:  A full
set of 5-way adjustable Tokiko Illuminas for my RX-7 for $3 each.
