Barry, I recently bought an '87 Turbo II which needed new injectors (leaking),
as it wouldn't pass emissions. I talked to Dave Atkins about it and he told me
he wouldn't use reconditioned or cleaned injectors because one or more would
fail shortly afterwards. He would then have to go thru the whole job over again.
He did have some good used ones (purple) which we tested for pattern and  no
leakage. He has an electonic injector tester. Maybe if you send him your old
ones he'd be willing to test them, and sell you some good used ones. I think
they're about $225 new.

I decided to rebuild the engine (100K miles), since it's a big job to chg the
injectors, plus I had a cooling and 5th gear problems. I spent all day Sunday
tearing it out ay Dave's garage. I'll be testing the old injectors, but I've got
4 good used ones, if they're all bad. Dave says that certain kinds of gas cause
them to fail sooner. I thought I'd share what I've recently learned. Good luck
