In the photo the mount is, of course, just propped in place to do some
measuring. The mods to the mount include extending the bed rails back, and
welding pairs of "ears" on both sides front and rear which carry the lord
mounts that attach to mounting plates which bolt to the engine end housings.
(see at www.atkinsrotary.com/aac1.htm ).  You can see the rear mount plate
in the photo.  It's the same setup Chuck Harbert is using.

I sure the mount isn't optimum in terms of weight or vibration damping (you
know; mount points bracketing the cg, a la dynafocal) but, then, these
engines don't vibrate, do they?  And, hey; the mount was included in the
price of the airplane kit, and it'll work.

So this IS a stock Franklin/Velocity bed mount that will be modified 
to fit the three rotor?
