Maybe Siemens can do it right.  Sturman was the manufacturer of our high
speed electronic fuel injection for our diesel and the valves never worked
as advertised.  They had a "path to production" program with Navistar as
early as 5 years ago that didn't materialize because the technology was not
mature enough.  Navistar dumped about $100M into development of fuel
injection stuff with Sturman (including their own testing) and ultimately
had an ugly battle to shift the program to Siemens to *maybe* see a return
on their investment.
