The stories I have read and been told are that inevitably
one tank flows better than the other. When it empties,
the T'd unports and pulls air into the pump regardless
of the available fuel on the other leg of the T.
Upon more reflection it is clear that the NZ trainer
is carefully adjusted to get matched flows from the
tanks, and when this doesn't happen the pilots are
trained to fly in a slip to get even levels in the tanks.
Sounds like they are scared of the same thing, i.e.
10 gals in one tank when the other goes dry and
you can't get to the last 10 gals.
Seems to fit, but please feel free to identify the
logic errors where ever they lie.
