First you will be greatly disappointed with the HP at only 5000 RPM.
Two there is a huge tradeoff between low speed thrust and high 
speed thrust as Perry is slowly finding out. What you need is a geared
fan to get the performance up. You need to run the turbo 3R engine at 8000
RPM and the fan at 4000 RPM to get a reasonable amount of efficiency
as my first guess and IMHO. Plan on going at least 350 to 400 MPH to take 
advantage of the high speed eff. of a fan over a prop. 
You won't get as many miles per gallon as a prop plane but it will 
not be as bad as a pure turbo jet. On the other hand you should 
be going faster than a prop and a bit slower than a turbofan jet.

You will also need a very thin fan made from titanium to handle 
rain or carbon fiber with a metal leading edge. IMHO the tips of the 
fans should run at mach 1.2 or so. Count on a lot of differences 
of opinion on all of this. There is a turbo 3R ducted fan in Ramona 
that has flown.

As Perry says, he has been working on this for 13 years so far.
